“Photography is more than a medium for factual communication of ideas. It is a creative art.” – Ansel Adams

More about me...

My background is in design. In 1998 I went to the Art Institute of Philadelphia to study Graphic Design. I studied design, typography, color and motion. Not only in the basics of design and art, the school also had departments in fashion design, industrial design and photography. With a lot of my friends in these fields I'd like to think their creativity and originality had a huge influence on me.

In early 2001 I began to work at Ritz camera. I was coming on as the digital camera was becoming popular. In the early 2000's Film was still the main media used. There were not even cameras on phones at that time. Film was sold and processed at almost all of the stores I worked at. It was here that I was able to learn the process of developing film. This would later help me with my color correction and ability to edit photos in my own style.

Since 2006 I have been pursuing this passion of  bringing my view of things to light. To me that is the magic of photography and art. When we can allow other people to kind of see things through our eyes. Not everyone will see things the way you or will see them and that is beautiful. I encourage people to be creative on their cell phone photos, or challenges on Facebook. Art is neither right or wrong sometimes, but all about perception.

More recently, I have been lucky enough to have been able to provide my photo skill as a service to people. I have done family and school photos along with events that have benefited local causes and organizations. My more recent project has been documenting the progression restoration and revitalization of one of the older homes right in Hudson.
